Students are provided with a diverse range of sporting opportunities both at a school and representative level.

All classes are actively involved in a sporting program each week. This program may include athletics, games, dancing and coordination skills, depending on the season.

The school holds three major sporting carnivals each year: Swimming, Cross Country and Athletics.  The students are placed in one of four houses (Blue, Gold, Green and Red) and are actively involved in friendly competitions at the carnivals.

The school participates in many Diocesan sporting events which may lead to involvement in MacKillop and NSW Primary Schools Sports Association (PSSA) Inter-Diocesan carnivals.

Diocesan Gala Days in Soccer, Netball, Basketball, Cricket, Rugby League and Australian Rules are held each year.  These carnivals are not for selection purposes but rather to encourage participation and social interaction with other schools around the diocese.

Students who have achieved representative levels outside of school are also invited to attend trials for positions in Wollongong Diocesan representative teams for Summer and Winter sports including: Basketball, Tennis, Cricket, Touch Football, Softball, Soccer, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Hockey, Netball and Australian Rules. These trials are held annually and link to the MacKillop selection trials.
